Cangiullo, Francesco. Piedigrotta [et] Agro romano. [1914.] Two rare paroliberist compositions 2 page autograph manuscript on a Qto bifolio (27.5 x 21.5 cm), grid paper. Black ink. Piedigrotta . Word-in-freedom from the first page of the Piedigrotta, Parole in Libertà , published in 1916 (p. "g"; the last lines matching - with variations - the first lines on page “x”).   This page is the opening to Cangiullo's book, describing the huge crowd as a human flood (" NAPOLI inondazione umana inumana acque sfusso riflusso di FOLLA 2 000 000 ITALIANI ", " NAPLES human inhuman CROWD flow ebb 2 000 000 ITALIANS "), floods swelling with " TROOOOMB " hurricanes; a play on the word "trombe", which translates both as "trumpet" and "waterspout".   Agro romano . Comes after a “ Nella Campagna Romana” title page. Apparently unpublished text. Writings about a love story in the Roman countryside. This word-in-freedom mixes rural scenes (“ 4 pecore pascolavano - 3 uccelli pascolavano” , “ 4 sheep were grazing - 3 birds were grazing” ), sounds of nature (the fountain makes " cloppe cloppe " sounds, the birds “ pipi pipi” , etc.), musical notations, onomatopoeia and literary references: the silence of nature is “ carducciano” (from Carducci, a decadent poet), the compliments “ Marinetted” ( marnetteggiavano ) with “ Flik-flok flok- flik flik-flik” sounds, whilst the last sentence alludes to D'Annunzio and Cangiullo himself: Oh ! com’è dolce il tabacchio dell’Agro! E non sapevi se per l’ampia solitudine della steppa aleggiasse lo spirito scarfogliano dannunzianeggiando, o lo spirit di Gabriele edopardeggiando. Certo è che niente cangiulleggiava ! (Oh! how sweet the tobacco of the Agro! And because of the vast solitude of the steppe, you didn’t know if the Scarfoglian spirit D’Annunziating was hovering or the spirit of Gabriele Edoarding. What is certain is that nothing Cangiullated!) This rural theme inspired some of Cangiullo's sketches. _____________________________________________________________ Cangiullo, Francesco. Mot en liberté de la première page du Piedigrotta, Parole in Libertà , paru en 1916 (p. "g" ; les dernières lignes correspondent, avec des variantes, au début de la page "x").   Cette page ouvre le livre de Cangiullo, en décrivant la foule énorme sous la forme d’une inondation humaine (" NAPOLI inondazione umana inumana acque sfusso riflusso di FOLLA 2 000 000 ITALIANI ", " NAPLES inondation humaine inhumaine flux reflux de FOULE 2 000 000 ITALIENS "), inondations gonflées par les " ouragans de TROOOOMBES ", écrit-il en jouant sur le mot "trombe", qui signifie "trompette" et "trombe d’eau".   Agro romano . Vient après une page de titre " Nella Campagna Romana ". Texte apparemment inédit. Texte évoquant une histoire d’amour dans la campagne romaine. Ce mot en liberté mêle images paysannes (" 4 pecore pascolavano — 3 uccelli pascolavano ", " 4 brebis étaient en pâture — 3 oiseaux étaient en pâture "), sons de la nature (la fontaine fait " cloppe cloppe ", les oiseaux " pipi pipi ", etc.), notations musicales, onomatopées et références littéraires : le silence de la nature est " carducciano " (Carducci, poète décadent), les compliments " marinettaient " (" marnetteggiavano ") en faisant des " Flik-flok flok-flik flik-flik ", tandis que la dernière phrase fait allusion à D’Annunzio et Cangiullo lui-même : " Oh ! com’è dolce il tabacchio dell’Agro! E non sapevi se per l’ampia solitudine della steppa aleggiasse lo spirito scarfogliano dannunzianeggiando, o lo spirit di Gabriele edopardeggiando. Certo è che niente cangiulleggiava ! " Cette thématique champêtre inspira à Cangiullo certains dessins.
